superHermes LITE is released in response to customer demand for a cheaper superHermes.
It consists of all the improved Hermes features (working ser1/2 and running at full 19200bps throughput, independent sound not affecting ser1/2, debounced QL keyboard, and keyclick)
and an IBM AT keyboard interface.

superHermes was developed as a replacement for Hermes.
Hints for current owners (9 Nov 97)
At last an industry standard fast serial port for the Sinclair QL. Use the QL for high speed BBS (V34 at 57600bps), up to 14400bps fax send and receive, and voice mail etc. High speed data transfer at up to 4800cps is possible between computers.
In addition to the Hermes features (working SER1/2 at 19200 baud rate, improved sound not crashing serial input, keyboard debounced, and extra I/O lines. it gives:
All this is on a 'professional' plug-in circuit board not much more than twice the size of the 8049 co-processor it replaces. All this is made possible by the use of a high speed RISC co-processor (PIC 17C44). Current PIC version is 3.05 (released Dec 95)
When specifying connecting leads, choose in-line (for use with original QL) or panel mounting (ie for IBM tower case)
